Ei guys! New chapter update for Cresci Prophecies, "War (part 2)"!
I hope enjoy it! See you next update!
Your face when you find out that [The Propaganda Project -BETA-] update will be delayed ;w;
We're sorry, everyone. After giving it some thought, we opt to just delay the update of TPPB v3.1 than cram it over the weekend and give a shitty output. Due to work, we had to set it aside for the time being.
Thank you for your patience and continuous support!
Hoo Ha! New chapter update for Cresci Prophecies, "WAR (part 1)"
Super stressed with the new normal setting, but I'm still trying to get the translation work going.
Anyway see you next update!
I got inspired by Authors to write my own Novel and Comic Book and because I loved reading them too. Back in 2010 I was watching movie trailers of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on Youtube when I came across a documentary of J.K. Rowling : A Year in the Life. It showed a lot of details about the publishing process and got inspired about the Authors struggle to get published. He had over 12 rejections from different publishers until someone liked the Harry Potter Manuscript. It inspired me and motivated me to write my own book. I wrote a lot of stories before I end up with my first Novel ''Bunny Syndrome''.
It was a short Novel I wrote in 2010 and made revisions over the years. I think it is too short for a Novel but in the near future I might turn it into a series. For Comics I got inspired by the Chinese Manhua Artist ''Xia Da''. Her art is so refined and truly artistic her appearance made her famous as a beautiful coming artist with youthful looks. I also read stories about her struggles to break into the comics industry at a young age. I love reading success stories from Authors and their struggles before they became successful and famous.
Interest in writing can sometimes be halted with writer's block where you have a hard time to write even a sentence or ran out of new ideas. Sometimes we need to get some inspiration outside of writing like going out for a walk in the park and doing other things we love to do. Often a spark of inspiration would be enough to motivate us to write again and at least a bit more frequently. Practicing writing one thousand words a day would be good enough for any type of writing just as long as we continue to put things in writing, either it is on our Journal or a notebook. Fiction writers should also write a lot of non-fiction in order to develop a good narrative. Taking down notes and having to write down plans for a book or anything else out of the blue will help nurture the writing appetite. Writing 10,000 words a day would be a good target if you want to finish quickly, when you are writing a book. But make sure you are not writing for the sake of just finishing or writing many meaningless useless words but it has to be of good quality. Make sure each sentence is written in the best shape possible connecting the paragraphs having perfect sense.
''I love reading comics and novels that is why I got into writing books myself.''
Continues Rejection hurts a Writer the most especially when it is served cold. Some Publishers and Literary Agents from Traditional Publishing Companies or Agencies sometimes forgot about caring for writers in motivating them to do better, instead they try to break their confidence and don't mind their hard work or efforts. Rejections for Aspiring Authors is often painful and depressing, it makes them feel that they will never break into the industry. It's best to be encouraged to do better when receiving rejections instead of always seeing the bad side of it, the bright side is that you tried and you made an effort, that is all that matters.
There is still a stigma in Self-Publishing. Many think that Self-Published Books are only written by people who does not have talent or literary rejects. Some Traditional Published Authors also self-publish to make their work available to more readers in the earliest time possible. Being Self-Published is simply being independent and working everything on your own and being in control, it has nothing to do with poor work efforts or the quality of writing. Being Self-Published requires a lot of determination and perseverance through the process of publishing a book to it's promotion and marketing.
A Self-Published Author will take on different roles, but can hire other professionals like editors and cover designers to make their book more professional and polished. Just like any business they need to promote and market their book with their own efforts and a help from a team might also be required if necessary. Being Self-Published does not mean that you are just a literary reject but someone who continue the dream to break into the literary industry with much confidence and determination.

Chapter 1 of Where Butterflies Never Die will be reuploaded in about a week
To be a Successful Writer you need to keep on writing everyday to hone your skills and be able to express yourself more. Perseverance and Determination is the key, you need to take criticism as something constructive and rejection to motivate your more. There will always be weaknesses to improve and obstacles to overcome but what matters is you have a fighting spirit that never gives up. A Writer is also considered to be a creative artist, beauty in writing is also in the eyes of the beholder who will appreciate it, the way it is. Some people write for themselves for their own satisfaction while others write for the sake of other people to entertain, inform or to impart wisdom and knowledge.
Writing can be a passion not just a Job. I use to write love letters and sometimes poetry to a girl a like back then, compose prayers or send notes to my friends and even to myself. Writing is better than speaking because you have the time to organize what you have to say and have the ability to correct your words just in time. I love writing letters a lot to certain personalities just to express my ideas regarding issues and concerns. I also like including letters with my Gifts to loved ones, that makes it more extra special.

Hi to all! Does anybody knows how to translate a Comic Serie from french to english? I have all the Rahan comics and want to do that...Thx !
Writing is just not a medium of expression but it is also a way share knowledge and experiences. People who writes fiction should also try writing in different areas like non-fiction to spark more creativity. Writing as an expression can help cope up with anxiety and relieve stress. If you think hearing the sound of pressing keys on a keyboard is like pressing keys on a piano and making music, then writing is something of an art. We create worlds and characters in stories and that something soothing to the brain because we make it work through mental exercise not just our fingers or our hands when we write.
It's best for aspiring Authors and Writers to continue practicing both fiction and non-fiction works in order for them to attain more experience and hone their skills on the craft. Reading books about writing may also help, but not all people can take a course and a degree in creative writing. Studying and Practicing the craft is a good combination of exercise that truly is going to improve the skill set of a Writer. All Writers need to have other sources of income even not related to writing, since we need something to support our passion.
Being a Professional Writer does not only mean you have to have a steady income doing just on thing, but you are able to apply different writing styles and use your talent on different mediums. We need to become versatile writers who can apply our writing skills to different areas so that when we fail on one thing we can move forward on doing another. We need to love writing with a passion and a humble heart willing to do better each time.
I really like reading books as much as I write. I decided to write a book of my own when I got inspired by Authors who have struggled like any writer or artist but became determined to become published no matter what obstacles they face in their life while facing many rejections. I know how painful a rejection can be when you really did you best in your work but is not good enough in the eyes of those who read it. I love receiving good rejections from literary agents when they say that another agent might think differently, it is not fit or they are subjective.
But there are others who does not care about your efforts and will truly hurt your feelings and break your hopes. Some agents would say ''You are nowhere near the standard of professional writing.'' or ''It will take you ten years or more to get it right.'' Bad rejections always tend to be cold and it does not usually consists of constructive criticism, they want to hurt and mock the Author to make sure they leave them traumatized to destroy their confidence.
Being humble does not always work when in conversation from a bad rejection, they will just tend to mock you more.
Despite of any kind of rejection, we must always not lose confidence and continue to practice what we love to do and just do it for a passion. Give works away for free for people to read and keep aiming to do better each time than just giving up from a cold rejection.
I love reading Comics since I was really young. I have Read Comics from Archie Comics, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Disney Comics and some Manga series. I love reading Comic Strips in Newspapers and Magazines too and their book versions. The Art of Comics is a good medium to entertain or to make you laugh, where it's name is originally derived from.
I may be an Amateur when it comes to Writing and Drawing but I just don't give up practicing. I know that I can improve and develop my craft bit by bit at least. You got to love and be passionate about the work you do, so that you can continue doing it without any self doubts and lose confidence. Starting out as Artist and a Writer can be challenging if those people around you are already in the advanced level and its humbling when they are even a lot younger than you. Starting out late is really not an issue what matters is your inspired, motivated and driven to do what you desire, age is really just a number if you come to think that the soul never ages, only the body.
Practice is just like Physical exercise the more you do it and it becomes a routine. You can become better at it and can see the results, then it motivates to make it a habit. We continue to grow and develop, there is always room for improvement while limitations can be surpassed
. We do experience at some point in our lives some hurtful criticism regarding our works and sometimes some people want make us give up what we are doing. It is often traumatizing but we need to resist and continue to persevere to become better at what we do no matter what negative things people say about us. We just need to move forward and think positive and be optimistic.
I upload the next chapter for the comic. The publish title is changed. Old name : The Chaos. New name: Soul of Chaos. You meet a new character. She/He is a Ocean and wind spirit. Have fun with it.
The Moon Arhi/Season 1/Ocean's call/Chapter 4/Soul of Chaos
Word Count for Novels:
50,000 - 70,000 Short Novel
80,000 - 100,000 Just Right
200,000 - 300,000 Lenghty
400,000 - 600,000 Epic
I based this word count according to my research and it also depends on Genre. More Words are best for World Building like in Fantasy and Science Fiction Genres. I love to read some Flash Fiction and Fairy Tales when I was young for bedtime stories. I think younger people have limited attention that is why picture books should only have a few pages and a more mature audience should read longer. The older the readers, the word count should be higher to be enough to entertain.
I have written other stories and have only started with the first chapters. I am kind of a neurotic writer, I start writing the first part of a story and then leave it for a while, starting another story. It's kind of a bad habit of mine but I will try to give time in writing one complete story at a time. 50,000 words is said to be a word count for a short Novel, earlier Novels are like a Novella which is shorter or longer than 50,000.
I want to write around 80,000 words which is a safe zone for Novels in the Traditional Publishing Industry which not too short and not too long. But here in Mangaido I will be more flexible with content I share so that people can read more of my work either it is starting or a complete story. I love writing a series but I need to try completing a story first, before writing different others.
New Chapter Update for Cresci Prophecies: "To Save from Nothingness (part 3)"!
Thank you so much for checking it out!
It might take a while to update again, but I'll try my best to squeeze in some editing work.
See you next update!
Okay. Just this once, we are gonna do this.
With regards to chapter 14 of [The Propaganda Project -BETA-] we've honestly been hesitant to upload the recent updates because it tackled a social issue (which we never thought would still be timely at this point) that could prolly threaten our safety. We have the intent to raise awareness but we thought that we wouldn't be that stupid to jeopardize our safety. Some local artists who have been very vocal about criticizing the government even locked their accounts for their safety.
The Philippines' political situation lately has been intense, as our democracy is being threatened to be taken away. Why did we still push through with the update? It's because police brutality, corruption, fascism, and injustice don't just happen in one country; it exists in many parts of the world. We hope that you can also be aware of pressing matters in other parts of the world.
In 9 days, the Anti-Terrorism Bill, a law that sounds good, but sounds more like an Anti-Dissent Bill that threatens Filipinos' freedom to express and criticize the government, and overall, tramples on human rights and democracy, will be put into law whether the president signs it or not.
We hope that Filipinos and everyone all over the world will use the freedom they have to do what's right, because freedom is something that has been obtained through blood, sweat, and tears.
We apologize for making such a post. Take care, everyone! And stay safe!
P.S. Chapter conclusion's happening on the next update, btw. We'd like to give a heads up that it will contain more blood and violence ;w;
Wrote new chapters for Bunny Syndrome. It does not have a climax just a simple story about how the protagonist started his childhood. I know I have not completed the story as of yet. I revised it many times before, changing names and some scenes that is why sometimes some dialogues are missing something out. But this is just my first draft of the story as of yet. I am still going to revised it further in the future with more chapters to make a complete story, for now I am just at the first step to telling the complete story.
Hi everyone. I started draw the chapter 4. Working title: The Chaos. Do you think how will the story continue?
I started writing stories when I was in High School, my classmates wrote interesting stories. Mine was an adventure story but it was not included in the class compilation of short stories because mine was so thick. Even back then I was still a newbie writer and maybe until now. I know there is a chance for me to improve in my writing and art, I just keep practicing so I don't give up on everything. I can only dream of reaching the level of the authors I idolize, I am sure some open minded people can appreciate my effort on my art and writing. For now my target is just making a lot of works until I can notice some improvement. I know that practice can develop your skills in the long run even if you don't see it in the early stages.
I still do take this as a hobby and not as a professional career. I admit that I will always be an amateur, willing to learn and ready to improve. I want to be a better writer and drawer, it may take me years before I reach my goal of getting better at this.
My Niece Maya can sure draw better than me. I love her attention to detail and her work is very colorful and lively. I see the Art style similar to Modern Day Cartoons. I know she will improve and get better by practice, especially when she possibly get someone to guide her and of course I am not a fit for that. I am glad there are a lot of good artist in my Mother's side of the Family. I wish her Art will get loads of attention and inspire lots of Kids like her.
Meet my girlfriend! 😁
I uploaded new chapters for the ''Bunny Syndrome'' Novel. I know I still need to edit it a lot, there are some corrections since it is my first draft from many years ago. I know I have to go through my manuscripts at least three times to edit and polish it properly. I uploaded the chapters anyway for people to read. I am thinking of extending the story to a 100,000 word count for it to make some more sense but I am currently working on other things. I am thinking of creating other comics series, but my level of creativity and skill may remain the same for now. I want to write more when my schedule is good enough to focus on writing Novels.
I am going to focus on practicing drawing and making more comic pages for another series. The First finished
Manuscript is usually called the first draft then editing and polishing follows. Editing is a skill I want to develop, I am weak at Grammar but I try my best to do better at writing.
I am writing a Novel based on the ''Toyz'' Comic. The Story will be different and there would be recurring characters from the comic. I am going to try my best to give it my best writing possible. For now I would start writing again on my netbook and continue that story from where I left it. The Characters from ''Toyz'' was based on the Novel I was suppose to write titled ''Fate of Misadventures'' where the kids at a young age are able to build stuff from high technology. But I recycled the characters to turn them into a comic and I thought that they were creating toys of their own at a young age, that is why I came up with the idea that they are Toy Designers instead of just inventors. ''Toyz'' The Novel will focus about Toy designers in a slightly futuristic world.
My Niece Maya is 7 and she can draw better than me, she is my cousin's daughter. Maya is very talented in drawing and coloring at her age. She draws in good detail and truly is an amazing budding artist. I know her drawings will mature as she ages and I am truly proud of her. My cousin's brothers are also good at drawing including one of my nephews, I guess art is really a talent on that side of my family. I wish I inherited some of that talent but it came short on my end, anyway I just try my best to improve my skill.
I know my art may seem so poor to most people but I am still struggling to do better. I know I need to improve in both drawing and in writing, there is a lot ahead of me. I don't know if I can catch up with the talent and growth of artists younger than me. I guess I truly need to do that 1000 pages of drawing exercise before I see any improvement in my art. I don't have the talent, but I sure do have a little bit skill to sharpen, it's been rusty for almost a decade. I drew the Toyz Comic back in 2012. Always moving forward and looking ahead.
